Vendor Terms and Conditions
Vendor Terms and Conditions
All vendors on the Online Marketplace are members of the SME Association of Zimbabwe. As such, you are expected to abide by the Customer Referral Agreement that you sign upon joining the Association. In addition to the terms and conditions there, you are also bound by the following:
- Continued participation on the Online Marketplace is dependent on you continuing to be an active, paid-up member of the Association. Should your membership of the association lapse, go unpaid or be revoked, your participation on the Online Marketplace will also likewise fall away.
- You are responsible for your taxes, as well as any other statutory payments/obligations that may attach to your products/services. The Association is explicitly excluded from any third party liability whatsoever that may attach to your products/services sold on the platform.
- All legal liability and responsibility attaching to your products/services remain with you. The only obligation for the Association will be to ensure safe delivery of the product/service where applicable, as well as payment of sales proceeds (net of commissions) to you.
- All sales done on the platform shall be on an Escrow basis. In other words, customer payments will come to the Association in the first instance, whereupon you will be expected to effect delivery as may be agreed, then when the customer acknowledges satisfactory receipt of the products/services, payment will then be passed on to you.
- Delivery arrangements shall be agreed with you upon your signing up, and must strictly be adhered to.
- Commissions shall be calculated on, and deducted off the gross sales proceeds unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- Bank charges for payments to you shall be for your account.
